"Looking back on my earliest years, I don't remember there being even one season in which I was happy with my body." ~ Teasi Cannon
Can you relate?
I was surprised to find My Big Bottom Blessing by Teasi Cannon a spiritual workshop rather than simply a humorous look at body image.
Sure, Teasi's humorous, but each chapter is full of scripture and each chapter builds upon the previous to strip your soul bare for some serious self examination. The Q&A at each chapter's end will help you recognize the issues in your life that are preventing you from living fully in the life Christ designed for you.
Teasi will guide you to replace the lie in your head with the truth of God's Word.
In the first few pages......
I thought it too silly, too light until I got to the first batch of questions. After an inner debate whether I would do the question section, I decided to dive in, total honesty, and see what happens. It has been a challenge. I am discovering that the diet yo-yo, my poor body image and self image, low self esteem and hurtful words I tell myself daily, in fact hourly, are amazingly contrary to the life God promises in the Bible. And these words, this hateful message running through my head has a direct impact on my health.

A contest?? Woot woot! Sounds like a great book!
This book offers an honest look at one woman’s struggles with weight and body image. But rather than just “thinking positive,” she became deeply aware of God’s love for her. Knowing she was God’s beloved made it possible for her to love herself. I know all women, regardless of size, will appreciate Teasi Cannon's honesty!
I need a good book to read
I am anonymous, I guess. Patti
Glad you clarified that, Patti. I wasn't sure how to get in contact with Anonymous if he/she won. :)
