Strawberry season is here! I will dig out my mother's excellent strawberry pie recipe for next week.
Today..... try this little sweetie.
2 c graham cracker crumbs
1/2 c melted butter
1/4 c sugar
FILLING:
1/2 c butter, softened
2 c confectioner's sugar
1 Tbsp milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 large bananas, sliced 1/4 in pieces
2 cans crushed pineapple, drained
2 quarts strawberries, sliced
TOPPING:
2 c whipped cream
1/4 c confectioner's sugar
1 1/2 c chopped walnuts
Combine crumbs, butter and sugar.....
Press into ungreased 13 x 9 pan. Chill 1 hour.
Filling: Cream butter, sugar, milk and vanilla. Spread over crust. Chill 30 minutes.
Layer with bananas, pineapple and strawberries.
Topping: Beat cream til soft peaks form. Add sugar, beat till stiff peaks form.
Spread over fruit. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill. Enjoy.
