Today is my big day as Mother of the Groom: Rehearsal Dinner. I was honored when the bride asked if I could make my stuffed shells for rehearsal dinner. I think it's the stuffed shells and my mother's chocolate chip cookies chiefly responsible for getting my son married off, finally getting Eden to say "I do."
Tommy and Eden have been dating since high school -- over 5 years of dating. And there were times I could understand Eden's hesitancy to make the lifetime commitment....
The two have been.....
almost always together for the five years. The few times Tommy went on vacation with us without Eden, his heart was still with her. On our long drive to NYC, I found him sketching Eden:
Lately I catch myself surprised when I see them, they are starting to look like adults instead of teenagers and I find life passing by so quickly.
What joy to see them creating a house, building a home, enjoying life.
Welcome to the family, Miss Wooten!
Take care of our Li'l Buddy.
