Eva (shown here in her new wig) picked me a basket of strawberries so we could bake a few strawberry pies.
Perfect timing for my Tasty Tuesday....
My mother is the master pie maker, she should sell them on the internet. I, however, am a loser pie maker and it always ends up being more like soup or like a berry pot pie.
Good luck to you, my friend. Have at it:
1 quart sliced strawberries (about 4 cups)
1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp minute tapioca
Sprinkle of cinnamon
Put in a pie crust with another on top. Bake at 300 for an hour or so.
Eva really enjoyed shaping the crust.
