We took a little trip through Historic Columbia (??) to the Robert Mills House and Garden to see the entries for the "Scarecrows in the Garden" contest. It was pretty cool. Eva wasn't real clear on what a scarecrow is, so this was a great way to find out.

This lovely one is called "2 Moons over the Robert Mills House." I didn't catch who created that one. (USC Frat boys? North Columbia Junior High School?)

This guy to the left is the Piggly Wiggly scarecrow. The football says "Get Your Pig On" and there was something else near his feet that identified the Pig.

The third one down is not politically correct and will get the Robert Mills House in trouble with the liberals in our country. At first I thought it was our president in drag until I saw the hands and area around the lips were white not black like the face.
I need to apologize for my remark about the president. As a Christian and American I should honor the office of the president even though I do not agree with his policies.
Yes, Drifty, I wondered if perhaps you didn't read my Blue Plate Special today.
